  this raven let me get within three feet of him  

  the remains of an old cable car that was used to ferry supplies down to visitors at the lodge that used to be here. they also brought down a model T, which was possibly the only vehicle in the grand canyon.  

  this and the next one are on the way from the camp to the river  

 

  hermit rapid, probably the most fun in the canyon for rafters and boatmen alike.
